The Art of Skyscrapers

Metropolis is a well-known silent film that utilizes the city as a backdrop for the rest of the story. Inspired by Manhattan, director Friz Lang conceived the idea for the film Metropolis, because of the “glaring lights and tall buildings.” This story uses skyscrapers as the urban fabric connected by highways in the sky. The use of skyscrapers in this futuristic city paints an inspiring image of skyscrapers dominating the skyline.
