Safety Last is a silent romantic comedy that is the iconic scene is where the main character climbs a skyscraper in order to escape the police only to run into a problem with the clock, which breaks almost sending him tumbling to the ground. This film uses a skyscraper as the climax of the move that ultimately ends with our “hero” climbing the building and getting the girl.
