The Art of Skyscrapers
The Towering Inferno
The Towering Inferno was a film released in 1974 with the intent to critique the safety of tall buildings by labeling them as a “fiery death trap”. This critique came from a book titled “The Glass Inferno” which intern was a critique on a Joelma Building disaster earlier in 1974 where 179 people were killed by the short-circuiting of an air-conditioner. This film acts as a grim reminder of the possible dangers of building too high.
